STORY
For me hairdressing is not just a job, and it’s not just about the hair. It is about the people and the feeling I get from making someone's day, the feeling of empowering women, boosting their confidence, making them feel relaxed, at ease and that they can fully trust me. The relationship formed between a hairdresser and her client is a special unique one and I really pride myself on that.
As for the hairdressing side, I have been in the industry for over 20 years, making my way up from work experience, Saturday girl to now salon owner. I have worked in some great fast pace salons over the years in Cambridge, meeting great people and been luckily enough yo do some fantastic training courses, such as with Regis international, Lee Stafford, Toni and guy Academy and amazingly worked behind the scenes doing hair at Cambridge fashion week and a shoot in London.
Now for me, it’s about the slower pace of working around my family, and working one2one in a Botique style setting where privacy and relaxing is top priority.
You will find me here most of the time and to mix it up i join the fantastic ladies in Newmarket at Lucies hair Botique one a week!

Gemma has been doing my hair (cut & colouring) for 13 years - I don't really have to say more.... She always listens very carefully what I want - I always come away very happy. Gemma gives very good advise what is realistic for my in terms of hairstyle, what works well for me and will suit me. But she is also not afraid to suggest new and different things and I certainly changed a few things over the years.I know I am in very good hands - I basically trust her to do with my hair what ever she suggest because I know at the end - the result is always great. I can't wait for my next appointment with her!
